2、Construction
Outer conductor
consists of aluminum-clad steel (ACS) or aluminum alloy wires, providing mechanical strength, electrical conductivity and protection against lightning strikes.
Optical fiber unit
Optical fiber with built-in stainless steel tube or aluminum tube wrapped, the number is usually 12 to 144 core, for communication transmission.
Tensile design
High tensile strength is achieved through the layered structure of twisted metal wires to meet the mechanical requirements of overhead lines.
Corrosion resistance
The outer metal material is specially treated to adapt to harsh climatic environments (such as high humidity, salt spray, etc.).
3、Application
OPGW is widely used in high voltage transmission lines. The outer layer is twisted of conductive metal (such as aluminum-clad steel wire or aluminum alloy wire), which is used as the ground protection conductor of the transmission line, and the interior contains a number of optical fiber units for optical signal transmission.
